Mulain spotted a piccie of one of his favourite MU-ses...La Pinto in Italian Vogue and just LOVED the image, so different and slightly odd yet stunningly beautiful at least that's what little old moi thought. Just love looking at the world and the different ideas of beauty. Ever thought of it? What is beautiful? Look around you and see what you think? It's a lovely world filled with lovely faces and colours! Open your eyes to it ALL!

MU-ves like Jagger!

Ok it's Friday!....When you get home tonight, however tired you are my darlings, shut the door, pour yourself a glass of something loo-ver-ly, crank up the volume of Maroon 5's (feat. Christina A) new song "Moves Like Jagger" and play DRESS UP! What a song! MU-Tube it and check out the MU-ves they've got going on. Super cool....also check out Christina's eye make-up...lovely lashes - 60s eyes! Mulain was chatting with a friend of fat mu yesterday (Shivani you know who you are :) )....and we were chatting about the ruts we all get stuck in...and we were saying that when you're young and you used to dress up in your bedroom and dance in front of the mirror so MU-ch fun was had! Remember people?....well chalo....let's do it again....such good therapy for the soul, make yourself feel great!...So crank it up, get some new lippie on, layers of mascara, get yourself a mike (can of hairspray good)!!!! and MU-ve like Jagger.

MU-product of the day - YSL creme blushes!

Mulain totally loves these fab little colourful creme boxes of delight! Last year YSL introduced 3 of these to the market....and now they've brought in the bright pink and red! Wonderful. Mulain is totally loving the Fushia pink..serious Wow! factor...Mulain says head to Shoppers Stop and go to the YSL counter...test these out to see which one YOU like....not cheap but super lux and lovely...last a long time and easy to apply with longlasting power.

Today it's Michael Jackson's birthday. Mulain and MU Virginia are celebrating today and only listening to MJ. He was simply the best and we especially love THRILLER. Not only a great song, the biggest selling album of all time, transforming the ways Music Videos were seen and done and of course THE MAKE-UP! MU Virginia saw Michael Jackson's Thriller back in 1983 and wanted to be a make-up artist. Never seen the 'Making of Thriller' video?....ALL make-up artists should watch. Fan-frickin-tastic! Prosthetics in action and all the behind secrets and ways they transformed MJ into a werewolf and zombie.

Interested in SFX...well fat mu academy will be running some Special Effects classes / workshops in October. Let us know if you are interested.

Mulain was listening to one of his favourite director's poems / songs the other day and thought of all of you. Baz Luhrmann's 'Sunscreen'! Ever listened to it?..go YouTube it...it's fab! On how to live life....one of the lines resonates with all us MU's..."Don't read beauty magazines they'll only make you feel ugly!"......is this true my friends? I really want to know? Does the beauty industry help us or subliminally kill our self-esteems? Ummm ..interesting question that Mulain will be thinking about all weekend!

MUs Virginia and Rosy are off to the Raffles Institute Graduation Fashion Show - where all the MU-ettes are designing the make-up! Lots of MUUU-ing backstage.

Mulain popped across to see a show at the Lakme Fashion Week with MUs Sara and Arpan....went to see super cool and up-and-coming designer Sidhartha Aryan. We had a great time and bumped into some friends which was loo-ver-ly :). Any of you guys heading that way at all? If so...enjoy...who knows you might see Mulain there!

My darlings...why not today show our solidarity with super nice guy and fabulous humanitarian Anna Hazare....today thousands of Dabbawalas will strike for the 1st time in 120 years and many people heading to the Azad Maiden today. Woo Hoo India....anti-corruption is on! Can't get there or little to shy to join the madding crowds...why not use make-up for sending out a message of support and paint a flag on your face! C'mon fellow make-up artistes....join the revolution! Go Anna go!

Make-up for a good cause!

X-factor stars 'Jedward' made-up to be victims of bullying....

Mulain came across these 2 pop cuties 'Jedward' with bruises and scratches on their loo-verly faces and wondered what was going on? Well appears these 2 are the faces of an anti-bullying campaign for ISPCC (Irish Society of Prevention of Cruelty to Children) alongside X-factor judge Louis Walsh and Westlife's Mark Feehily. Both want to push these hard-hitting ad campaigns to create awareness for anti-bullying. Mulain thinks it's a great idea ....make-up for a good cause! What do you guys think? Convincing make-ups? Do any of you use your art for a good cause?

We are celebrating MU Virginia's birthday today ...HAPPY BIRTHDAY!...missing MU Natasha who is currently in London town. We are all covered in glitter, have eaten too much Biryani and chocolate gateaux....also celebrating Zoya's film releasing today.

Mulain is wishing all the best to the cast and crew on ZNMD...woo hoo...it's a great fun, feel good mu-vie - GO SEE THIS WEEKEND MY FRIENDS.

Japan!

Know this is a make-up blog but Mulain found this image from the net so haunting that it stopped me in my tracks. We are madly busy right now with the academy and shoots and we are so into our own worlds that sometimes what happens outside does n't sink in. Saw this piccie of a mannequin head so similar to our ones at school and it brought it all rushing at us. The sheer horror of what can happen to our little planet is visible in Japan...so out of our control....so Mulain is pausing today to stop and think and send positive thoughts to Japan and the Universe....fashion week, film shoots, TVCs, school all take a back seat today. It's not all work my friends. We MU-st get that balance right.
